Shirl the Pearl is back, just in time for the silly season
Following a highly successful small taster run of 650 bottles in May this year, we’re proud to launch our first official batch of Shirl The Pearl, after the first offering sold-out within just one week.
This new release of Cumquat Gin, inspired by a generational Brook family recipe, will now mark the start of an ongoing, annual seasonal release.
Much like wine, each release will vary slighting from the year before depending on the seasonal harvest. The 2020 harvest boasts a 37.7% ABV and slightly drier, more citrus-driven flavour profile than its 2019 counterpart which was a touch sweeter.
For those who have already had the delight of meeting Shirl the Pearl, you’ll be well versed in her ability to entertain at parties. She’s uplifting, bright, delicately sweet, and full of citrusy zing!
Okay, okay, let’s get to the good stuff.
Shake Shirl the Pearl up with Brookie’s Dry Gin, lemon juice, and sugar syrup with your choice of frothing agent to create Shirl’s version of a White Lady Cocktail.
Keen to keep it spicy? You’ll love Shirl’s Spicy Margi. Take equal parts of Shirl the Pearl, Arette Reposado Tequila and the juice of a lime, and give it a shake for one helluva Margi-Party. Be sure to dip the rim of your glass in paprika and chilli salt because Shirl, like you, loves a bit of spice in her life.
Looking for a fancy new twist on a Summertime Spritz? Throw Shirl the Pearl in a wine glass with cranberry juice and lime juice before topping with sparkling wine. Ummm… hello Amalfi!
